"Stage one Graphic Design Communication students have been developing a new ornamental display font with highly Individual characters inspired by drawing digitally and laser cut manufactured to the exacting standards reminiscent of a traditional font foundry.
Level tutor Nigel Bents and Associate Lecturer Paul Oakley will further support students by printing typographic posters at the New North Press."

"I am a visual effects compositor currently working at MPC Vancouver [http://moving-picture.com/]. I have set this site up with two aims, firstly as a place to showcase my current work, but also as a place where I can archive past work and map my career as I go. I'm hoping this could be interesting for people thinking about getting into the visual effects industry."

A DJ is somebody who exemplifies "authoring by selection," they are an example of how anti-montage aesthetics of continuity cuts across culture and is not limited to the creation of computer still and moving images and spaces. DJ?s art is measured by their ability to seamlessly go from one track to another. A great DJ is thus a compositor and anti-montage artist par excellence. They are able to create a perfect temporal transition from very different musical layers; in real time, in front of the dancing crowd.
Prodigy Present - The Dirtchamber Sessions Volume One, track 5, 3:11 Sex Pistols: New York, with Fat Boy Slim - Punk to Funk, with Medicine - I'm Sick. Archetype raw punk music transforms into highly-produced dance music. The ease to which disparate samples are mixed together in this track appears undermines the requirement for closure - this process could repeat itself endlessly infinitum.
