OBJECTIFY THIS: Female Anatomy Dissected and Displayed

Historically, female anatomy has been represented in medical illustrations predominantly as a variation of the male form in terms of reproductive organs and surface anatomy. There are a multitude of societal, cultural, and religious reasons that have established this ideal, in addition to the fine line between female anatomy and eroticism. This show will compel viewers to question the objectivity surrounding 'female anatomy' and define–or re–define–their own perceptions through the art, perspectives, literature, and live burlesque performances featured during the opening event."

Do Look Now: A playful meditation on sexual pleasures

"From academic and cinephile Helen Yeates comes this 16–minute mash–up of sexual and erotic scenes that creatively pushed the sensual boundaries of cinema, challenging audiences over the last four decades.

An ironic intercutting of arousing and transgressive scenes, Do Look Now creates a provocative interplay of love, sex, desire, humour, nostalgic yearning and cultural memory.

Part postmodern pastiche, part cut–up passion project, Yeates's creation explores the contours of female eroticism and sexual politics, playing with the way context can lend fresh meaning and nuance to sexual depictions."

Late Soviet era girl next door photo book 'Sverstnitsa' (Peer Girls)

"Сейчас, спустя 22–25 лет, рубрика смотрится уже по–другому – как слепок эпохи, и можно даже проследить общее движение нравов от консервативного идеала "русской красавицы" кондово–советского периода журнала – к раскованности и менее стандартным типажам в купальниках. Хотя, надо отметить, что редактора очень осторожно и редко отклонялись от европейского типажа в пользу азиатского, но и такое немного было."
