Jean Tinguely: Art, Machines and Motion

"Jean Tinguely exhibited in a show titled 'Art, Machines and Motion' at the Kaplan Gallery, London, in November 1959. In conjunction with that exhibition, Tinguely held a conference and performance at the Institute of Contemporary Art on November 16 titled 'Static, Static, Static! Be Static!' During the event, 1.5 km of paper drawn by two cyclists on his meta–matic bicycle were spread through the audience while Tinguely read his theory of movement and machines simultaneously heard on radio in Paris."

Guitar Pee: cheeky marketing stunt uses interactive urinal guitar

"Guitar Pee is a urinal equipped with sensors that plays music when someone pees on it. The different strings play different electric sounds depending on the aim of the stream, and at the end of your session you can even send an 'MPee3' straight to your phone to share your moment. Clearly, this isn't a concept for the ladies but you can try to woo them with your song even if you don't have a clue how to play a real guitar (they don't have to know the source of your craft). After all, the Guitar Pee tagline is 'Music. We know it comes from everywhere.' We guess it's better to hear rock music when you pee than the generic trickling water sound."

MeTube: August sings Carmen 'Habanera'

"'MeTube', a homage to thousands of ambitious YouTube users and video bloggers, gifted and less gifted self–promoters on the Internet, has attracted international attention. No less than George Bizet's Habanera from 'Carmen' has been reinterpreted for MeTube and enhanced with electronic sounds. Behind the cross–over of musical styles are director Daniel Moshel as well as opera and oratorio tenor August Schram."

Star Wars Uncut: crowdsourcing Star Wars 15 seconds at a time

"Star Wars Uncut is the brainchild of Casey Pugh, a developer dedicated to creating new and fun experiences on the web.

In 2009, Casey became interested in using the internet as a tool for crowdsourcing user content.

Star Wars was a natural choice to explore the dynamics of community creation on the web – the response from fans has been overwhelming worldwide and the resulting movie is incredibly fun to watch."
